Over the past few weeks, the long-standing tradition of a Powderpuff football game, an all-girls touch football match at South, was terminated by principal Joel Stembridge. The recent news at South about Powderpuff even made some students at this school start thinking about a game.

Science team places in national competitions

All summer long, the science team practiced extensively for the two national competitions for which they had qualified. Twice a week the team would prepare together, and members would spend hours of their own summer time for practice.
