With “one of the best teams in the history of our program,” according to coach Joe Tranchita, girls’ indoor track, 6-0, won the program’s 20th league title in 24 years.
The team also won the State Relays and the Division I State Meet, as well as All-States. “We had tremendous individual talent and team chemistry,” said Tranchita.
Senior Kayla Wong, a captain with senior Maggie Heffernan, said “the girls worked extremely hard all season long.”
Heffernan, Wong, juniors Meghan Bellerose and Carla Forbes and sophomore Madison Nadeau were named Bay State Conference all-stars, and Forbes was named a Boston Globe all-scholastic.
Next year’s captains will be Bellerose, Forbes and junior Maeve Larkin.
