At the 2026 Coachella music festival, Justin Bieber blew away the crowd of 125,000 fans as he sang some of his biggest hits and throwbacks such as “Beauty And A Beat,” and “That Should Be Me.”
Talented artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G, performed in the Coachella valley, California on the weekends of April 10-12 and April 17-19, keeping the crowds roaring all night.
In addition to the biggest stars, the festival also had many surprises in store, including Madonna joining Sabrina Carpenter on stage to sing a surprise performance of Madonna’s hit song, “Like a Prayer.”
“I think Coachella is so hyped up for its influencer crowd and outfits people wear, that some people forget how good these performances are,” said sophomore Molly Abely.
The Coachella music festival has been going on for 27 years, and appears to grow in popularity every single year. As of this year, the festival drew 750,000 fans in total to the desert to experience the magic of Coachella under the La Grande XL ferris wheel.
Coachella generated approximately $200-$220 million in revenue. Bieber’s performance alone was reported to earn $10 million.
“I kept seeing tiktoks of Justin Bieber performing his song, Daisies, which I think was a big hit because he sang in his younger voice, giving the crowd a 2016 throwback which has been a very popular trend,” said sophomore Mela Terwal.
Despite the talented performances at Coachella, the festival is a hotspot for influencers, brand events, and popups. This year, brands such as Rhode, Google, e.l.f. Cosmetics, and Barbie held events attended by many online influencers with large followings.
“It’s so cool to see how it is so much more than a festival to so many brands who gain marketing,” said freshman Sabrina Spinelli.
Across Instagram and TikTok, Coachella generated 40,000 posts and more than 157 million engagements.
Although there are controversies and heated debates on whether or not the festival is a good idea every year, people nonetheless seem to enjoy themselves, both for the music and the drama.
