Boys' track completes 16th consecutive undefeated season

By Isaiah Blakely and Kirk Stuart
In their final meet of the season against Milton on Wednesday, boys’ indoor track won 68-27, according to coach James Blackburn.

Wednesday’s meet went well, according to Blackburn. “We are good in everything really,” he said. “ We can get better in everything, but there is nothing we really need to work on.”

The Tigers’ best events were the 300 meter dash, the relay and the high jump.

Senior Ryan Lucken ran the 300 meter dash in 35.6 seconds and junior Nick Fofana jumped six feet four inches in the high jump to lead the Tigers to a win.

This school has dominated the conference for over a decade, and the Tigers have gone undefeated for 16 consecutive years. They have won 96 consecutive meets.

Athletes participating in individual meets are: seniors Johnny Long, Lucken, David Oluwadara, Nick Taranto and Daniel Swain; juniors Adrian Butterton, Fofana, Nick King, Sean McIntrye, Gabe Montague, Mike Schlichting and Carl Whitham; sophomore Ben Porter; and freshman Jared Prior.
