Girls’ Soccer fell short in a 2-1 loss to Dedham Thursday night despite an early goal in the first minute by senior Paige Dobies.
“Although we could not pull off the 2-2 tie,” said senior Alexandra Nugent, a captain with senior Kira Matthews, “we made a lot of dangerous plays that proved we were a tough competitor.”
The Tigers had multiple chances to score late in the game, but were unable to convert.
Matthews took a positive outlook for the Tigers moving forward.
“I think that our whole team stepped up during the game and showed that we wanted to win,” said Matthews. “The team’s record is currently 0-9, but we are looking to start fresh with the second half of the season.”
