Boys’ indoor track competed in the Bay State Conference Championship Wednesday, Feb. 4, against various qualified runners from schools in the conference.
The meet was not scored, but was rather an opportunity for all of the Bay State Conference teams to compete against one another without specific matchups, according to Senior Ben Porter, a captain with seniors Carter Harrison and Perry Miller and junior Jared Prior.
Similarly, Prior said that the Conference Championships serves for runners to “see how they matched up against the entire league.”
The Tigers had several runners perform well, including Porter finishing third in the 300 meter race, sophomore Seanross McClinchy finishing third in the 55 meter race, and freshman Andrew Mah winning the two mile.
Porter said that the Conference Championships provided “good practice in a competitive environment” for the team, something the Tigers will experience next week in their Division-1 State meet Feb. 21.
