Tonight at 7 at the American Legion Nonantum Post 440 there will be a celebration in honor of former history teacher Allan MacDougall, who passed away October 23rd, 2012.

According to the invitation, all are welcome to attend the event and are encouraged to bring food and desserts. Donations will help cover the cost of the event and be added to this school’s Phil Ochs/Allan MacDougall Scholarship Fund.

Many of MacDougall’s former students and colleagues will attend the celebration.

“MacDougall’s true legacy is the hundreds of young people who have grown up to teach, to love his music and to carry on his belief in fighting the good fight, no matter what,” reads the celebration’s webpage.
