Girls’ swimming and diving, 2-1-1, defeated Braintree 84-99 Tuesday Sept. 28. “Having a win in our home pool is always exciting,” said senior Hunter Hedenberg, a captain with senior Veronica Ingham.
Hedenberg attributes the win to “the fact that we’ve been working hard both in and out of the pool.”
According to Hedenberg, both JV and varsity practices are made up of running and swimming and that practices like this have strengthened the team. “This strengthening has been showing in our times and our wins,” she said.
She also attributes the win to an improved team dynamic. “We all help and support each other during practices and meets.”
Highlights included multiple Sectional and State qualifications, according to Hedenberg.
