Budget allocates additional funding for programs, educators

by Hilary Brumberg and Perrin Stein As a part of the Fiscal Year 2013 budget, which was passed Monday, March 26, this school will receive the equivalent of two additional full time educators (FTEs), a floating custodian, funding for the Innovation Lab and funding for the One to One program. These new programs will be partially paid for by non-athletic school-sponsored extra-curricular fees (clubs), which were implemented in FY12.

Governor attends annual Mayor's Luncheon at this school

by Amanda Hills Yesterday morning, mayor Setti Warren hosted the annual Massachusetts Mayor’s Association luncheon at this school. Governor Deval Patrick and 22 mayors from surrounding cities attended.

Innovation Lab representatives present projects

by Amanda Hills Students from the Innovation Lab will present the Lab’s latest projects and achievements to officials from across the State Thursday, Feb. 16, according to English teacher and chief innovation officer Stephen Chinosi. Presentations will take place in the Innovation Lab.

Students, teachers plan Short Film Project

Coalition prepares proposal for new innovation class

by Alex Feit Several teachers and students aligned with the Innovation Lab are working on a proposal to offer an interdisciplinary Innovation and Design class for upperclassmen for the 2012-13 school year, according to English teacher and chief innovation officer Stephen Chinosi, who is helping spearhead the effort.
