Boys’ indoor track, 6-0, experienced a memorable moment when it won All-States, according to senior Young Guang, a captain with seniors Justin Keefe, Swardiq Mayanja and Nate Menninger.
“I’ve been on track for four years, and you really can’t get much better than winning a State Championship,” Guang said.
Mayanja earned titles at the Division I Stae Meet, All-States and New England meets, missing the school’s shot put record by three inches.
Keefe placed third at the Division I State meet and sixth at All-States in the 1000-meter.
Throughout the season, the team focused on the 4×400, according to coach Jim Blackburn.
At the Division I State Meet, the team placed second.
Next year’s captains will be juniors Johnny Long, Ryan Lucken, Daniel Swain and Carl Whitham.
