Field hockey, 1-6, played a close game against Waltham Tuesday, falling 2-0 at North.
The game “was definitely frustrating,” said senior Angela Buras, a captain with senior Ashley Babigian, “the way we played does not reflect the final score of the game. We ended up having almost double the shots and corners compared to Waltham, we just couldn’t seem to put the ball in the net.”
According to Buras, junior Emma McKee was a standout performer in the game, “She’s somehow able to everywhere on the field at once, and her ability to get the ball and handle it is crucial to the team.”
The Tigers have had a tough schedule, with seven matches coming in quick succession. As a result, the team has lost valuable practice time, according to Buras.
The Tigers have over a week until their next game—plenty of time to make up for all of the missed practices.
The team’s next game is Thursday, Sept. 28, in Needham.
