Football lost to Needham last Friday night 14-7 in the first round of the MIAA Division I South Playoffs. “We need to play more complete games. We didn’t play well in the first half and that is why we lost,” said senior Nick Busa, a captain with seniors a captain with seniors Kyle Ray-Canada, Christian Hahm, John Nicolazzo, and Joey Torcasio.
The offense struggled to make any impactful plays resulting in only gaining seven points in the entire game.
According to Busa, junior Andrew Landry, the starting quarterback has “gotten a lot better over the course of the season.”
The defense held Needham to only 14 points, and played “really well,” according to Busa. He added, “We didn’t allow any plays, but giving Needham a shorter field led to easier scoring plays for them.”
According to Busa, senior Adam Zhou had a big impact on the game. “He came up big on run support and made a bunch of nice tackles,” he said.
North will face Brookline on November 22 in the annual Thanksgiving Day Game.
