Boys’ soccer, 3-3-2, defeated Wellesley, 5-2-1, 1-0 last Thursday afternoon at Lowell Ave. Field in a match that required “discipline” and “effort” to defeat a strong Raiders’ team, according to head coach Roy Dow.
“We have worked very hard on our mentality, and when you play a good team, your mentality, attitude, and effort is as important as x’s and o’s, if not more,” said Dowe.
Senior Adrian Scott, a captain with senior Alex Crystal, commented that the Tigers “changed up a bunch of things” going into the game, adding that “at the end of the day, it’s all about mentality, and we were just the team that wanted to win more.”
Moving forward, Scott believes that “it’s all about mentality and staying focused so we can achieve our goal of making the state tournament.”
The team’s next game is at home this Tuesday against Brookline.
