Softball lost to Revere 1-0 in the North Sectional Final. Last year, the Tigers fell short in the same round, unable to win a sectional title.
Sophomore Gabby Vachon led the team with a dominant postseason. Vachon only allowed two hits and one run over seven innings against Revere.
The game remained scoreless until the top of the seventh inning, when Revere was able to score on a passed ball.
Although they did not achieve their goal of winning the North Sectional Title, the Tigers are proud of their accomplishments, having only a few returning starters.
“We exceeded everyone’s expectations,” said junior Liv Sloane, a captain with junior Caitlin O’Hanley. “Even though we ended up in the same place as last year, it only gives us more motivation for next year.”
Next year is looking bright, as many of the starters will be back for another shot at the title.
“We are ready for next year,” said O’Hanley. “The team chemistry was amazing this year and I could not ask for a better group of girls.”
