Dear North community,
It’s time to say goodbye…
It was a good time, it was the best time (well, sometimes), however, 29 years is a long time. It’s just a little more than a third of my lifetime. Many of those years have been filled with laughter—and that laughter has added years to my life. Many of you have been an inspiration and the reason for such laughter and joy—mostly with you—sometimes at you.
I cannot begin to tell you just how many experiences have been packed into my years at Newton Public Schools; some ups, some downs—but definitely more ups than downs. My brain is so full of memories—but I’m only keeping room for the good ones. I want to thank you all: students, faculty and my secretarial colleagues.
Really, you may not believe me when I say I will miss all the work, but this jo is unlike others, I will miss both the people and the work—because the work is all about the people, the work is all about the lives, it’s all about inspiring potential. I feel honored to have been a part of that.
So, with a brain full of happy memories, it’s time for me to go wash my curtains, throw my alarm clock in the trash, and begin making new memories.
Sincerely,
Maura Roberts
