Starting today, the New Art Center is displaying photographs photographer and parent Sharon Schindler took of the old North building.
Schindler took the photographs at the end of last school year during Bringing Down the House, a celebration for the demolition of the old building.
Parents Claudia Wu and Kristen Grannan organized the commemoration.
Schindler and Wu put together a coffee table photo book as part of Bringing Down the House, which is available for purchase on Schindler’s website, SharonSchindler-Photography.com.
Schindler captured more than 500 photos of the old school, “including murals, the Houses, demolition and the new building as well,” she said.
The exhibit will run from today to Wednesday at the New Art Center. Hours are 10 to 5, Monday through Friday.
An opening reception will also be held today from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
