As students, we know about all of the bizarre things that happen at this school. But do teachers ever have weird experiences at this school? The answer is most certainly yes.
Physical education teacher Lauren Baugher was asked to search for a bomb in the school.
Math teacher Karly Burke had to give a student the Heimlich Maneuver.
Spanish teacher Denise Cremin said, “One time in the old building, the seniors hijacked the school radio system for the senior prank. In the middle of f-block, the started playing ‘The Hamster Dance’ and nobody could shut it off. I had to teach through it for the entire block!”
English teacher Nick Grant said that the weirdest thing that happened to him was hearing a mysterious thumping from the ceiling in the old building. “As the class progressed, the thumping was accompanied by moans and then muffled cries,” he said. “It turned out that a boy had climbed up a ventilation shaft in the corner of the room. He’d gone up to the ceiling level by shimmying up, and he was beating on the duct that went over and across the room in hopes that he would mystify and scare the class. He did!”
Science teacher Sangeet Srikanth’s class was doing an experiment when the ceiling started leaking and it began to “rain” in the class. The students had to pack up the lab, and the water flooded all the way to Barry House. “I don’t know how or why it happened!” she said.
