This fall, North welcomed new Adams House Dean, Fiona Healy, who will oversee the sophomore class.
“I’m excited to see how the year evolves, and different traditions and things that students at North are excited about,” Healy said.
Sophomore Caitlin Kelley described Healy as “really nice” and said she expects her to be “a great fit for our school and our grade.”
Healy’s fellow deans have been working to support her adjustment into the routines at North.
“She’s really jumped into it,” said Beals House Dean Scott Heslin, “It’s clear she’s got the skills to really hit the ground running.”
Healy said she’s eager to hear student government’s vision for the year and collaborate with them to build a better class.
As a house dean, Healy will oversee student support and discipline for the tenth grade, promote community and diversity, and help ensure students meet academic and athletic expectations.
“I’m excited to keep learning, meet my students and colleagues, and find ways to bring my strengths to North,” said Healy.
Healy originally worked as a math teacher in the Cambridge public school system before taking on the position of vice principal at Oak Hill middle school, where she worked for 10 years. She assumed the role of Adams House Dean after the previous dean, Khari Roulhac, left at the end of last school year, after holding the position for close to five years.
