Members of the Class of 2029 gathered during Tiger block, Tuesday Sept. 16, for Fall Fest — a welcome event featuring lawn games, snacks, and North merchandise.
“It seemed that students were excited to grab a tee-shirt, hats, food and more,” said Megan Reilly, a North parent and member of the PTSO.
The event aimed to build community among incoming freshmen and help them feel welcome. According to Reilly, the event was a success, with approximately half of the Class of 2029 attending. Many students stayed for the entire block to socialize and enjoy snacks.
“I went there because lots of my friends were going too, and I got free merch,” said freshman Tatiana Salas.
“The students seemed to have a good time,” said Barry House Dean Nicholas Capodilupo.
The welcome event was organized by the PTSO parent liaison, with help from more than 20 parent volunteers who donated food or assisted during the afternoon.
