Girls’ soccer fought to the very end in their 10-0 loss at home to Natick on October 17.“We need to improve on working together and connecting as a unit,” said senior Anna Engel after the game.

North was unable to maintain posession and turnovers were the deciding factor of the game. In the first quarter, North controlled the ball for the first minutes. With just over six minutes into the first half, Natick had a two-on-one and scored their first goal

The next Natick goal was controversial. A Natick player committed an unintentional handball that did not get called, and with the play still live, Natick scored. Natick kept their momentum rolling and ended the half five up. Natick continued to dominate in the second  half. Natick scored a tap in  off a rebound by North’s goalie. They scored four more goals and won with a final score of 10-0. 

“As we build our program, we want to build players who control the ball and control the field in all phases of the game,” said Brian Leighton, the head coach.

At the end of the game, the Tigers only mustered six shots on goal and seven shot attempts as opposed to Natick’s 21 shots on goal and 36 shot attempts. 

The Tigers, 1-3-4, play  Brookline High school at Brookline High school on Saturday November 7th at 2:00 p.m.
