Boys’ swim had seniors Benjamin Cole and Bowen He, junior Josh Sims-Speyer, and sophomores Will Riley and Joey Yerardi compete in the All-State Meet Saturday, a “good way to end the season” according to senior Jonah Pemstein, a captain with Cole.
Riley and Yerardi both placed in the top 20 individually, and the 200 medley relay was the best event for the Tigers as a team, according to Cole.
Although five Tigers qualified for the meet, Saturday was “not indicative of the season’s success” as a whole, Cole explained, as many swimmers did not reach their best individual times that have “come to show” the positive results of the year.
However, despite some of the results at the All-State Meet, Pemstein saw the positive in qualifying and competing to finish the season off strong.
“Everyone did pretty well,” Pemstein said, “we worked all season to improve and it culminated in that,” with five Tigers swimming at All-States on Saturday.
