Boys’ hockey, 14-5-3, defeated 13th seeded Natick, 8-9-4, 3-0 Thursday Feb. 26 in the first round of the State Tournament.
Senior captain Thomas Gresser, a captain with seniors Matthew Mulvaney and Chris Quinn, scored the first goal for the Tigers in the first period. Sophomore Curtis Judd scored the second goal of the game in the second period and sophomore Zach Gordon added an empty netter in the third period. In goal, junior Thomas Joyce stopped every single stop for the shutout.
“I think the team played great overall, we looked fast and confident,” said Quinn.
The Tigers are the fourth seeded team and will move on to face fifth seeded Duxbury, 13-5-5, in the second round Monday, March 2 at 4:15 p.m.
