Every November, people from all over the world world take part in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), a writing challenge.
The challenge begins on Thursday and lasts the entire month of November. Participants’ goal is to write a 50,000-word novel by the end of the month. The writers work non-stop for 30 days to meet the deadline and complete this rigorous challenge.
Participants at this school can reserve a laptop to use in the Library Learning Commons throughout the month to work on their novels.
Also, if at least 20 students from this school sign up for the challenge, there will be a Night of Scribbling Recklessly Sunday, Nov. 18 from 5 to 8 in the Learning Commons.
Junior Mikaela Scheff, who participated in NaNoWriMo and the Night of Scribbling Recklessly last year, said that at the session students hang out and have pizza. “It’s an awesome writing party.”
