Math teacher Nicole Conway is succeeding math teacher Charles Rooney as interim math department head while the department searches for a permanent head.
Conway said her new role will include “supporting the teachers in the math department, student placement, teacher evaluation, communicating with parents, teacher schedules and curriculum planning.”
She said that upon hearing that she had received the position, she was “shocked, confused, petrified and then finally excited.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to learn a whole new side of this school, and, most importantly, to support the members of my department,” she continued. “If I can do that sufficiently, I will have considered myself successful this year.”
