Back to School Night, which will be different than in previous years, will be Thursday from 7 to 9, according to guidance department head Beth Swederskas.
Swederskas said that the event will partially focus on encouraging parents to use Parent Portal, the new grade distribution system that this school implemented last year. “We really want parents to access to Parent Portal this year,” she said.
In addition, parents will need to print out their children’s schedule from the Parent Portal prior to the evening. Those who are unable to do so can come to the school at 6:15 that evening to receive printouts.
Otherwise, the event has similar goals as in previous years. “We want parents to meet teachers and learn about what the classes’ expectations are,” said Swederskas.
Upon arrival, parents will follow their children’s Monday classes and meet all of their teachers.
