Tonight, the Greengineers and Patagonia, an outdoor clothing and gear company, are hosting a free showing of Bag It, a film about this world’s plastic consumption, according to English teacher and chief innovations officer Stephen Chinosi.
The event is free and will be held at the Patagonia store on Newbury Street from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
At the screening, the Greengineers will display their bags made out of recycled plastic, Chinosi said.
“When Bag It came out, Patagonia began selling DVDs in its stores throughout the country,” Chinosi said. “Having a screening and displaying students’ solutions seemed like a great way to get the word out.”
The partnership between the Greengineers and Patagonia began with senior Will Spiro’s Senior Year Project, Chinosi said.
“Patagonia has a corporate mission to help the planet, and we, the Greengineers, have a similar goal and solutions to helping the planet.”
