Nitrous Oxide, this school’s sketch comedy troupe, will perform a night of sketch comedy June 5 and 7 at 7:30 P.M. in the little theatre.
Directed by seniors Ezra Dulit-Greenberg and Natalie Tereshchenko, the troupe returns to the stage for the annual performance with some fresh faces and a revamped take on humor.
“We have lots of new comedic voices in the troupe, all of which have made a huge impact on the show,” said Dulit-Greenberg. “We’ve tried our hardest to add new styles of comedy. Some physical, some intellectual, some absurdist. It’s all there.”
Out of the thirty-five sketches, Dulit-Greenberg’s favorites include “Mime Radio,” “Parent Patrol,” and “Buzz-Fed Up.”
Tereshchenko had a similar opinion, adding that “Buzz-Fed Up,” which makes fun of quizzes on the popular news and entertainment website, BuzzFeed, is “pretty brilliant and the absurdity of it makes it really hard for me not to laugh on stage while we’re rehearsing.” “Buzz-Fed Up” features seniors Jake Berstein, Hannah Gallogly and Tereshchenko.
The author of the sketch, senior Kelsey Fox, promised unconventional hilarity. “I really wanted to find a way to write about those BuzzFeed quizzes, because I think they are ridiculous,” said Fox. “It all took me in a very weird direction which I don’t want to spoil. It’s very eerie.”
Both Dulit-Greenberg and Tereshchenko expressed similar enthusiasm. “I’m excited about ending the year with such a fun, high energy and exciting show,” said Tereshchenko.
“Please come see the fruits of our labor and you will absolutely not be disappointed,” said Dulit-Greenberg.

Tickets are $7 and sold at all lunches and on theatreink.net.
