I have been talking a lot about quadcopters in my previous blogs, but I am pretty sure this is the best one of all, and will probably be the best one I talk about for a long time.
Recently previewed for the public, the Lily quadcopter is in my opinion an amazing work of technology.
The idea of the Lily is that it flies on its own and tracks you. The promo video for it shows a snowboarder throwing it in the air, followed by it stabilizing itself, and then having the snowboarder ride down with the Lily filming him.
The camera features various modes of flying. You can have Lily follow you, go in front of you, go to your side, and even fly loops around you.
Lily is also is waterproof, and with a 20 hour battery life, it is extremely useful.
The way it tracks you is interesting as well. The user places a tracking device on their wrist (which comes with a waterproof case also) and then tells the camera which mode to follow it in. It’s that simple.
Overall I think this product will revolutionize the multi rotor world and the aerial photograph world, and I think it will be a big success.
