Talk Sports with Isaiah: NBA season award predictions

Talk Sports with Isaiah is a blog updated every other week with commentary on sports teams and games.

By Isaiah Blakely

The NBA season is halfway through, and I am going to give my opinion on which players should win which awards, as well as my prediction for who will win the NBA finals.

First off, MVP. Right now it obviously goes to LeBron James. He has had a great season, especially lately. He is almost averaging a triple double so far with 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists per game.

Rookie of year goes to Damian Lillard, who has been outstanding so far for the Trail Blazers. He is averaging 18 points and seven assists per game.

Most improved player goes to Paul George of the Indiana Pacers. He has been playing extremely well while Danny Granger has been out. George has been averaging 17 points, eight rebounds and 4 assists per game.

Jamal Crawford is my pick for Sixth Man of the Year. He is providing a lot of scoring off the Clippers’ bench. He averages 16 points per game.

Coach of the year goes to Frank Vogel of the Indiana Pacers. He has lead his team to second place in the Eastern Conference without their best player, Danny Granger.

I predict that the championship will be between the Heat and the Spurs and that the Spurs will win the the NBA Championship.
