Imagine that all you read are picture books with big fonts, colorful illustrations and simple text. Now imagine trying to read Macbeth, one of this schools’ curriculum-required books. Comprehending and digesting a play like Macbeth would be incredibly difficult.

Editorial: X-block policies should be revised

Currently, there are two X-block periods. One is after school Mondays and the other is after school Thursdays. According to the student handbook, X-blocks are an official part of the school day. During X-block, teachers are available for extra help, clubs meet, a few classes meet and occasionally sports teams meet.

At the beginning of the school year, the cafeteria was a bland, empty space with sub-par food that usually got thrown away and inconsistent service that could take a while. It wasn’t the kind of place you could quickly stop into to pick up a drink or snack. Since January, the overall quality of the cafeteria has strengthened. It started with Whitsons School Nutrition takeover of food services.
