Ligerbots begin building process

by Alex Feit Since beginning their six-week building process over a week ago, members of the Ligerbots, this school’s and South’s robotics team, have begun building prototypes to compete in this year’s iteration of the FIRST Robotics challenge, according to senior Paige Grody, the team’s captain.

Nine science team members compete in Women of Science competition

by Alex Feit Female members of this school’s science team competed in the Women of Science competition at Bedford High School yesterday, according to science department head Amy Winston, the team’s adviser. The team, comprised of nine girls from all grades, sent three groups of three students each to participate in the competition, according to Winston.

Strong group dedication aids debate team

Tobacco prevention club offered

by Samantha Libraty Nurse Rozanne Milner is working to start a student-run 84 club at this school to help fight youth tobacco, she said. According to an 84 informational sheet, “The 84 represents the 84 percent of Massachusetts youth who choose to do positive things and not smoke."

Model United Nations members receive awards at Brown University conference

Ten Model U.N. members and other high school students from around the world participated in a debate lead by current Brown students, according to secretary-general Gabe Dreyer.
