Girls’ soccer beat Minnechaug 1-0 tonight at Worcester State University to capture the Division 1 State Championship.
A year ago, girls’ volleyball walked off the court following a heartbreaking 3-1 loss to Barnstable in the State Finals. Saturday, the Tigers will have a shot at redemption as they take on the Raiders in a rematch of last year’s championship.

Now that the calendar has flipped to November, it’s back to work for the Red Sox. While it has only been a little while since they won the World Series, there is work to be done. As shown in the disappointing years after Boston’s last two championships, 2005 and 2008, it is important not to forget about “the next season.”
Girls’ volleyball became the latest Tiger squad to advance to the State Championship last night with a 3-0 win over Concord-Carlisle. The Tigers will face Barnstable for the title Wednesday at Canton High. The Tigers fell to Barnstable 3-1 last year in the final.
