Seventy-seven students were nominated in the Keys to Success program since September, according to Bursar/Accounts Payable secretary Suzanne Spirito, this school’s Keys to Success liaison.
The students nominated included seniors Taylor Arcuri, Alexis Bianchi, Gina Bueno, Jen Casey, Angelo Cedrone, Deidra Collins, Olympia Dimantopoulos, Inijah Germain, Scott Giles, Scott Griffen, Kyle Hartmann, Devon Lamm, Kevin Ly, Jankee Patel, Mike Safran and Anthony Shaw; juniors Terry Altherr, Marika Belamarich, Paula Castellanos, Dan Catano, Zane Clark, Sarina DiDino, Joe D’Urso, Pascale Froelich, Drew Gately, Eric Halin, Tyrique Hart, Michael Howard, Tanaja Jordan, Elizabeth Kenslea, Pavel Komarov, Maria Koutsouris, Jack Lewis, Demetria Lyons, Sebastien Maximin, Sean McIntyre, Rachel Ng, Martin Pance, Jared Perlo, Spencer Ross-Goodman, Mike Rossi, Maria Rudorf, Anthony Salinas, Jonah Shechtman, Michaela Smith, Dan Thibeault, Zoe Trianfellides, Islam Turyatunga, Rena Walker, Amelia Williams and Dimitri Wright; sophomores Jessica Atocha, Andrew Bombara, Kerry Brock, Nick Caruso, Tara Courtney, Paige Cunning, Kavish Gandhi, Armani Jackson-Tyrell, Vikram Krishnamachari, Josh Luguire, Angelo Marshall, Brett Mayville, Riana McGlashing, Kevin Sandoval, Anne Shattuc, Dexter Wadsworth and Tyler Wise; and freshmen Nora Burdick, Elizabeth Langenfeld, Jeremy Norton, Raina Salinas, Yasmin Sayouty, Aidan Slack-Watkins, Gabby Vachon and Emma Waldon.
The Honda Village Automotive Group created the Keys to Success program last year, which is an ongoing incentive program to reward students. Teachers nominate students for unexpected good deeds or academic achievements. Nominated students choose from a list of prizes, including gift certificates.
At the end of the year, fifty finalists, who will be randomly chosen from all of the nominated students, will be given keys. The student whose key starts a used car wins the car, or can choose instead to receive $5,000 in scholarship money.
Secretary Maria Camilli nominated sophomore Brett Mayville last month. Mayville said, “A friend and I found $10 in the library, and we decided to take it down to the main office.”
